Wayne Thomas Petit Verdot 2003

Wayne Thomas - McLaren Vale - 2003 - Petit Verdot
15% WOW!
100% Petit Verdot
Nose: Blackberry, Plum, Cherry, Coffee
Palate: Leather notes, Tobacco, oozing black fruits
Fantastic, great forward nose straight from opening, palate needed no time to develop. Great mouthful of fruit. Matched great with chicken soup and Savarin - pungent soft cheese.
Want to see what it is like tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip! I am looking for more 100% P.V. and %100 Malbec.

I'm a fan of Petit Verdot, think it's very under-rated. A Malbec I really like, and have enjoyed another wine by this vintner, is Abacela. It's from the Umpqua region of southern Oregon. Not a massive volume, but imagine you can get in California.
